Westbank Wrestling Club

It's those who learn to perform when they're tired that find success.

PRACTICE

It's all in the fundamentals ...
Learn the foundation for successful wrestling with us. We focus on skills and drills every wrestler needs to know to become successful.

Carl Albert said

“This is a sport (wrestling) that has turned many boys into men and many men into leaders. And it is a sport in which you can be a giant regardless of how big you are.”

The Westbank Wrestling Club is dedicated to providing a holistic program that will help at-risk youth become self-reliant members of society with high self-esteem and explicate how success in wrestling can be translated into achievement in the development of life skills and in the classroom.

Mission, Vision, Values

Wrestling is innately designed to develop the student's character, promote proper nutrition and improve their physical fitness.

Our mission

wrestling to instill self esteem

W.I.S.E. stands for Wrestling to Instill Self Esteem. It is a sports-based youth development program that incorporates character education and nutrition lessons into wrestling practice.
With the epidemic of childhood obesity in our country, the Westbank Wrestling Club is working to reverse the trend through the sport of wrestling. The W.I.S.E. program teaches lessons of nutrition, builds character and gets kids physically active.

Last year we had over 50 members from all areas of the Westbank that were taught the techniques of wrestling from October to July. They competed in tournaments all across the state.

The Westbank Wrestling Club holds practices at John Ehret High School. We offer our services to all of the schools on the Westbank. We teach year round and are part of USA Wrestling, AAU, Up2Us and Coach Across America.
